Educational institutions & hostels of Guwahati Metro to close if daily case reaches 1000

April 21: In case the daily case rate in Guwahati Metro touches 1000, the district administration has been authorized to take a decision to close down educational institutions and hostels. This was tweeted by State Education & Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday evening. He further urged upon the people to “Follow COVID Appropriate Behaviour.” It needs mention here that Kamrup (M) district registered a record number of 742 positive cases during the day. This is the single day highest in Kamrup Metro this year.
