As a mark of protest, the students blocked the Silchar- Kalain road at Bhangarpar on Monday. After 2 to 3 hours later, CircleOfficer of Katigorah along with the local police came  to the spot and assured the agitating students that they would take up the matter with the education department and also sought two days time for it. Meanwhile, due to the road blockade, large number of vehicles got stranded on both sides of the road. Later on, at the assurance of the Circle Officer, the blockade was withdrawn. The students, however, made it clear that if in case their demand was not accepted, then they would launch a vigorous agitation.
