Dream Celebration to organise awareness programme on drugs abuse on 7 January

December 27: In order to create a drugs free society, an awareness programme in this connection will be organised by ‘Dream Celebration’ on 7 January, 2020 in Banga Bhawan at 6 PM. The awareness programme entitled “Life is Beautiful, Say no to drugs” will be graced by Laya Madduri, Deputy Commissioner, Cachar as the Chief Guest. Police Super Manabendra Deb Roy will be the guest of honour.

This anti-drugs awareness programme is an initiative by Nikita Banik, President of Women’s College Students’ Union. Speaking to way2barak, Nikita Banik said, “As you are aware that Barak Valley has become prone to drugs intake by the youth. This initiative is an endeavour to make the youth aware about the evil effects of drugs. I would request people from every walk of life to attend the awareness programme and help us in building a drugs free healthy society and a healthy nation.”
