Developmental schemes, projects reviewed in DISHA meeting

Nov.25: All developmental schemes and projects were reviewed in the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting in Hailakandi on Wednesday.

Reviewing the schemes and projects of all the departments, MP and Chairman, DISHA, Kripanath Mallah at Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall, urged all the district heads of different departments to gird up their loins and to expeditiously implement the ongoing schemes and projects.

Mallah monitored the status of progress of the developmental projects and discussed about removing the impediments for smooth implementation. The Chairman stressed on addressing the issues and for timely completion of the projects. Erosion related issues were discussed in the meeting, including in areas under Nimaichandpur Gaon Panchayat.

Deputy Commissioner cum Member Secretary, DISHA, Megh Nidhi Dahal asked the Circle Officers to identify land for allocation to landless people for constructing dwelling units under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Dahal urged the district heads to ensure timely implementation of projects and schemes for the benefit of the people and assured all possible help and cooperation from the district administration.

Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Jaydeep Shukla also exhorted upon the PRI representatives to put in all efforts for implementation of rural development schemes on time.

A power point presentation was made on the status of schemes and projects by various departments and threadbare discussion held. MLA, Nizamuddin Choudhury, MLA, Suzamuddin Laskar, representative of MLA, Anowar Hussain Laskar, President, Zilla Parishad, President, Anchalik Panchayat, NGOs and PRI representatives took part in the meeting. The meeting was organised by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department.
