Assam registers 14 more deaths on Sunday due to COVID-19, toll rises to 749

Oct. 4: Assam registered another 14 deaths on Sunday due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll of the state due to coronavirus has reached 749. This was confirmed in a tweet by State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday. The 14 deceased were identified as:

• Nirala Gogoi (65) of Dhemaji
• Palash Bordoloi (54) of Lakhimpur
• Zarina Begum (33) & Debendra Nath Das (80) of Kamrup Metro
• Prabhat Kalita (52) of Darrang
• Liken Hazarika (42) & Anjana Bora (55) of Golaghat
• Paresh Ghosh (65) of Dhubri
• Prafulla Saikia (79) of Jorhat, Sumnath Phukan (84) & Phatik Gogoi (78) of Jorhat
• Siv Sankar Jha (55) of Majuli
• Satindra Nath (72) of Nagaon
• Banalata Gogoi (49) of Dibrugarh.
