4 found Covid +ve in Cachar on 9 December

Active cases 41 in Cachar, 2 discharged

Dec. 9: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Thursday at late night. As per the latest data, 04 persons were found positive in the district on 9 December. Also, 02 patients were discharged during the day. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 41. It needs mention here that on Wednesday, 04 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 1,756 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 01 person was found positive, whereas 03 were detected positive out of 250 RT-PCR Tests. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 20,463 whereas during this phase, 20,206 patients were discharged.

The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 8 December to 5 PM on 9 December) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Thursday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 9 December, there were 10 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, 01 patient was put under ventilator support, and 02 were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 01 Covid positive patient was admitted at SMCH and 01 of them was discharged.
