DC Cachar directs all merchants to declare their stock of plastic carry bags by 13 August

August 7: Cachar District Administration has taken a tough stand on the use of plastic bags. On Wednesday, Laya Madduri, Deputy Commissioner, Cachar took to social media and reiterated that plastic carry bags of all thickness has been banned by the Assam government.

It is in this backdrop that DC Cachar directed all retailers, wholesalers and other merchants to declare their stock of plastic carry bags. She wrote, “They can either submit the same in hard copy to Public Facilitation Centre (PFC) District Administration or mail the filled form at baranwal.abhilash89@gmail.com by 13 August 2019.”
