Daily cases in Assam cross 1000-mark, 1,167 found Covid +ve & 2 deaths registered on Friday

Jan 7: On Friday, out of 35,127 tests, 1,167 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 6,24,499. The positivity rate in the state is 3.32 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 517 positive cases during the day. Further, on Friday, 02 died in the state due to COVID-19. The deceased are from Barpeta, Sonitpur & Tinsukia. The death toll in the state stands at 6,178. The recovery rate is 98.22 percent. Also, 253 patients were discharged during the day. At present, there are 3,601 active cases in the state.

It needs mention here that on Thursday, 844 persons tested positive in Assam and 02 deaths were registered.
