Covishield at 5 centres & Covaxin at 2 centres to be given in Silchar on 26 August

Aug 25: Dr Reema Patao, Medical Officer of Urban Family Welfare Unit, Silchar on Wednesday stated that on-spot vaccination session for those above 18 years of age will take place at five centres in Silchar on Thursday, where Covishield will be provided. Further, Covaxin will be administred at 02 centres.  A total of 1,700 doses of Covishield and 400 doses of Covaxin will be provided on 26 August.

The vaccination centres are:

1. Nazirpatty Model School: Both 1st dose (100 shots) and 2nd dose (200 shots) will be given on the basis of on-spot registration. That means, a total of 300 doses of Covishield will be administered in this centre on 26 August. Further, at this centre, 200 doses of Covaxin will also be provided (only 2nd dose) on the basis of on-spot registration.
2. Durga Sankar Patshala, Ambicapatty : Both 1st dose (200 shots) and 2nd dose (200 shots) will be given on the basis of on-spot registration over here on Thursday.
3. Abhya Charan Patshala, Sadarghat, Silchar: Only senior citizens will be provided Covishield on the basis of on-spot registration. 100 1st dose and 200 2nd dose Covishield will be provided here for senior citizens on 26 August.
4. Shiv Colony LP School: Both 1st dose (200 shots) and 2nd dose (200 shots) will be given on the basis of on-spot registration on Thursday.
5. Tarani Mohan LP School, Kanakpur: Both 1st dose (100 shots) and 2nd dose (200 shots) will be given on the basis of on-spot registration on 26 August.
6. Urban PHC, Trunk Road: At this centre, 200 doses of Covaxin will also be provided (only 2nd dose) on the basis of on-spot registration on Thursday.
