Covid vaccines to be administered at 4 centres in Silchar on 8 January
Jan. 7: Dr Reema Patao, Medical Officer of Urban Family Welfare Unit, Silchar on Friday stated that on-spot vaccination session will take place at 3 centres in Silchar on 8 January where Covishield will be administered, whereas Covaxin will be provided at 01 centre. A total of 700 doses of Covishield and 100 doses of Covaxin will be administered on Saturday in Silchar town.
The 3 vaccination centres where Covishield will be provided are:
- SM Dev Civil Hospital, Silchar: Both 1st dose for 18 plus category (100 shots) and 2nd dose (200 shots) will be given on the basis of on-spot registration. That means, a total of 300 doses of Covishield will be administered in this centre on 8 January.
- Sanjibini (104) office, Opposite Urban PHC, Trunk Road: Both 1st dose for 18 plus category (100 shots) and 2nd dose (200 shots) will be given on the basis of on-spot registration. That means, a total of 300 doses of Covishield will be administered in this centre on 8 January.
- Mobile Team: Both 1st dose for 18 plus category (50 shots) and 2nd dose (50 shots) will be given on the basis of on-spot registration. That means, a total of 100 doses of Covishield will be administered by the mobile team on 8 January.
The vaccination centre where Covaxin will be provided is:
- Sanjibini (104) office, Opposite Urban PHC, Trunk Road: Both 1st dose (50 shots) and 2nd dose (50 shots) will be given on the basis of on-spot registration on 8 January.
