Covid scare: Mizoram closes schools for students upto Class VIII

April 10: In the backdrop of the 2nd wave of coronavirus, Mizoram government has also come up with a number of restrictions. In the education sector, the state government has notified that schools will be shut for students up to Class 8. According to the new guideline, only online classes will be conducted for students of class eight and below. However, ongoing examinations for classes 9-12 will continue till completion.

At present, there are 115 active cases of coronavirus in Mizoram. On Saturday, 25 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive, thereby taking the state tally to 4583. Till now, 4457 people got recovered in the state.
