CM Assam meet students of JNU, DU in Delhi to help create a buzz on Lachit Barphukan
way2barak, Nov.19: Assam Govt is seeking everyone’s support in making the celebration of Bir Lachit Barphukan’s 400th birth anniversary a grand success. On Monday, Assam chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma met students of Delhi University (DU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and other students from Assam staying in the national capital to help create a buzz on the great General ahead of the celebration.
During the day, the Chief Minister also had a discussion with some social media influencers to seek their support in creating awareness on Assam’s legendary General Lachit Barphukan and spreading the word on the celebration of his 400th birth anniversary in New Delhi on 23-25 November.
At Assam House, the Chief Minister also reviewed preparations for Lachit Barphukan’s 400th birth anniversary celebrations to be held on 23-25 November in New Delhi. Cabinet ministers Atul Bora, Pijush Hazarika, Bimal Borah and other senior officials were present during the meeting.
