1371 tests +ve in Assam on Tuesday including 90 in Cachar, state tally 34,947

July 28: On Tuesday, Assam registered 1371 fresh cases of coronavirus. With this, the state tally has gone upto 34,947, out of which, 9454 are active cases. The day also witnessed 2 more deaths due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally to 88. Further, in Cachar district, 90 fresh cases of coronavirus were reported during the day.

In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 1371 new #COVID cases detected in Assam out of 22876 tests done in last 24 hrs. Positivity rate continues to be low at 5.9%. Max~ Kamrup (M) – 295, Kamrup (R)- 221″
