Clad in PPE Kit, DC Jalli visits COVID ward in SMCH, reviews treatment procedure
August 22: Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli, visited the COVID wards in Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH). Putting on PPE Kit, DC Jalli stepped inside the wards on Saturday to review the treatment procedure going on there at SMCH. It needs mention here that a few days ago, on getting complaints from the inmates, she visited the Covid Care Centre at Sarla Birla School wearing PPE Kit.
Accompanied by Dr. Abhijit Swami, Superintendent of SMCH and Dr. Vikash Shandilya, Deputy Superintendent, DC Jalli clad in PPE kit spent around two hours in the various wards and ICU to oversee the treatment process at SMCH. She interacted with many patients, asked about their health condition. She also interacted with the doctors and other staff on duty as well.
Expressing her views, the Deputy Commissioner said, “Patients are more or less satisfied with the services. However, some minor issues are there which can be sorted out.” She, however, aired deep concern over the fact that many patients are being diagnosed late, which is contributing in fatality.
