Applications invited for contractual posts under Forest Rights Act (FRA) cell, Cachar;

way2barak, October 31: –– Office of the District Commissioner, Cachar, has invited applications from eligible candidates residing within the district for two contractual positions under the FRA Cell. The initiative follows the Government of Assam’s directive dated 4th October 2025 from the Secretary, Tribal Affairs (Plain) Department, Dispur, Guwahati.
According to the official notification, applications are being sought for the posts of Co-ordinator (FRA) and MIS/Programme (FRA)/Associate (FRA) on an 11 Month contractual basis. The FRA Co-ordinator will receive a monthly remuneration of Rs 35,000, while the MIS/Programme Associate will draw Rs 25,000 per month.
For the post of Co-ordinator, candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Social Science or Social Work, possess sound knowledge of basic IT or computer applications, and have a minimum of five years of domain experience in Rural Development or Tribal Welfare. For the post of MIS/Programme Associate, candidates should have a B.Sc. or B.A. degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Social Science, along with a diploma in Information Technology or Computer Applications and at least two years of experience in large-scale data processing and management. The maximum age limit for both positions is 35 years as on January 1, 2025.
Eligible and interested candidates are required to submit their applications in the Standard Form published in Part IX of the Assam Gazette, accompanied by self-attested copies of educational qualifications, experience certificates, permanent address proof, and age proof. The applications must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the Personnel Branch, Office of the District Commissioner, Cachar (Ground Floor), by 5:00 PM on November 15, 2025. Candidates must apply separately for each post.
