Cachar set to host “National Lok Adalat on June 14

Way2barak, June 6 : In a significant stride towards accessible and people-centric justice delivery, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Cachar, Silchar is all set to organize the National Lok Adalat on June 14, 2025, at the District Court Campus, Silchar. Commencing from 9:30 AM onwards, this district-wide legal initiative will bring together a wide range of pending and pre-litigation cases for amicable settlement through mutual understanding and compromise.

The upcoming National Lok Adalat will take up diverse categories of cases, including Civil Cases, Special Electricity Cases, GR and PRC Cases (Compoundable in nature), cases under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Motor Vehicle Act cases, Matrimonial disputes, MACT cases, and more. Additionally, pre-litigation matters involving institutions such as APDCL, BSNL, and various banks will also be addressed during the proceedings.

In an effort to promote speedy justice, reduce the pendency of cases, and encourage resolution outside the conventional court process, the DLSA will facilitate dedicated Conciliators at designated courts and booths across the District Court Campus. This initiative aims to foster an atmosphere of cooperation between litigating parties, enabling them to resolve their disputes amicably and efficiently.

All parties who have received summons or notices regarding their respective cases are earnestly requested to participate in the Lok Adalat and seize this golden opportunity to settle their matters harmoniously. With the collective aim of bringing justice closer to the people, the District Legal Services Authority, Cachar, reaffirms its commitment to promoting legal awareness and strengthening the spirit of reconciliation and justice in society.
