Cachar Agriculture department distribute tractors among the farmers

May 16: Department of Agriculture, Cachar has distributed 06 (six) Nos.of Tractor units to the 06 farmers Group of the District under “Chief Ministers Somogro Gram Unnayan Yujona ( CMSGUY)” – 2nd Phase at the Office premise of the District Agriculture officer, Cachar at Silchar on Saturday.

The District Development Commissioner Jessica Lalsim handed over the keys of the tractors to the president and secretary of the farmers association, wherein only the President & Secretary of each of the Group attended the occasion by maintaining social distance.

The DDC & DAO have given a brief welcome to the representatives of the farmers and hoped that the Tractor units will increase the production & productivity of the farmers of this District thereby uplifting their economic Development as well. Further, 10 nos. kits containing vegetable seeds have been distributed to each of the groups as a token of encouragement to start use of the Tractor units instantly.
