Budget session of Parliament to begin on 31 January

Jan. 14: Amid the ongoing Covid wave, The Budget session of Parliament will begin on 31 January  with the address of President Ram Nath Kovind to the joint sitting of both the Houses. In a statement, the ministry of parliamentary affairs on January 14 said that “the 256th session of the budget session will start from January 31.” The Union Budget for 2022-23 will be laid in the Rajya Sabha after its presentation in Lok Sabha on Tuesday, February 1 at 11.00 AM. The Budget session will be held in two parts, from January 31 to February 11 and from March 14 to April 8.
