Block Task Force constituted for smooth COVID vaccine roll out in Hailakandi

Jan.13: For smooth roll out of COVID-19 vaccination drive on Saturday, Block Task Force Committee has been constituted in five development blocks, including Urban. A meeting was held to take stock of the situation and to review the preparations for launching of CovidShield vaccine at the SK Roy Civil Hospital premises here on Wednesday.

The meeting also discussed the necessity of stepping up of IEC activities so that rumour mongering as well as vaccine eagerness issues may be addressed properly and efficiently. Circle Officer, Hailakandi, Tridip Roy, Joint Director of Health Services, Dr.Ashutosh Barman, Superintendent, SK Roy Civil Hospital, Dr. Sudip Chakraborty, doctors and other health functionaries were present.

Under the first phase, heath care workers and front line warriors will be vaccinated. SK Roy Civil Hospital has been selected for the vaccination session site. 4,027 health care workers, Anganwadi workers and helpers have enrolled online so far.
