BJP announces list of candidates for Sonai Municipal Board

Feb. 14: State Election Commission has announced the schedule for elections to 80 Municipal Boards of Assam today. Elections will be held on 6 March, 2022 and results will be declared on 9 March, 2022.  Assam State Election Commissioner Alok Kumar stated that it is for the first time in the history of Assam that M2 Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) will be used during the Municipal elections.

It is in this connection that Cachar BJP on Monday has announced the names of candidates who have been given nomination by the party for contesting in the civic polls for the Sonai Municipal Board.

• Ward No.3: Dipu Kumar Das
• Ward No.4: Shilu Rani Das
• Ward No.5: Meenakshi Nath
• Ward No.6: Saharul Alom
