DC Cachar inaugurate ‘Jyoti Bishnu Prakalpa Kendra’ in Silchar

way2barak, Dec.13: Deputy Commissioner Cachar, Rohan Kumar Jha in the presence of DDC Rajib Roy on Tuesday inaugurated ”Jyoti Bishnu Prakalpa Kendra” in Silchar. An amount of Rs 10 Lakhs was spent under Untied Fund 2021-22 for its construction. The Prakalpa Kendra was erected with an aim to hold ample official conferences, cultural activities along with other events round the year.

The very Kendra has been built to pay homage to Jyoti Prasad Agarwala and Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha, who were the prominent Indian cultural figures from Assam, known for their contributions in the fields of music, dance, painting, literature as well as political activism.
