Bike stolen from Shillongpatty area of Silchar in broad daylight on Wednesday

May 4: In a dare devil incident of robbery, a motorbike was stolen from Shillongpatty (Shyama Prasad Road) area of Silchar town on Wednesday morning. As per report, Basu Dey, a resident of Sonai Road went to Bank of Baroda on Wednesday at 11.30 AM. He parked his bike on the street just outside the bank. However, when he came out at around 12.10 PM, he found that his bike was missing.

At once he raised a hue and cry. People from the nearby shops came out and started to look for the bike but in vain. Finally, the victim, Basu Dey took shelter of police and lodged a missing report at Silchar Sadar Police Station. It was a Super Splendor model bike bearing No. AS11E 3939.
