Biggest spike ever: 1202 +ve cases in Assam on Saturday, total cross 11,000-mark

July 4: It’s a huge jump. On Saturday, a total of 1202 COVID-19 positive cases were reported from across Assam, out of which, 777 were reported from Guwahati alone. With this, the total number of coronavirus case in the state has crossed 11,000-mark and reached 11,001. At present, there are 4657 active cases in the state.

In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ In the biggest spike ever, Assam on 4th July reported 1202 cases, 777 of these from Guwahati City alone. Time for all of us to be extra vigilant.”
