Barak Valley Youth Union celebrate its 2nd foundation ceremony

August 16: Barak Valley Youth Union (BVYU) successfully completed its two-year journey. In this connection, they celebrated their foundation day by organising an event,entitled ‘Yuvangan’ on last Wednesday. The inaugural speech was delivered by the Chief Convener Anik Chakraborty, which was followed by a tribute being offered to Barak Valley Youth Union’s former Chief Convener Late Biswarup Bhattacharjee.

The programme formally began by lightning of the lamp by Biswarup Bhattacharjee, Kishanu Bhattacharjee, Shuvadip Dutta, Ratindra Das and Santosh Kumar Dey. This was followed by felicitation of the invited guests by the president of BVYU Bishal Roy. The guests then delivered their speech wherein they highlighted the achievement of the organisation in the last two years. The programme came to an end by a dance performed by the Cultural Secretary of BVYU Deepshika Chanda.

Further, Barak Valley Youth Union also celebrated the 74th Independence Day in a befitting manner at the Ellora Hotel complex. They also distributed face masks in various parts of Silchar town. A blood donation camp was also organised by them at Indian Red Cross Hospital, Silchar.
