Awareness programme on Assam Startup Incubation Program held at Women’s College
way2barak, Feb 26 : With the purpose to enlighten the students on the importance of Startups in the present-day world, the Student’s Career Guidance Cell of Women’s College Silchar organised an awareness programme on Assam Startup Incubation Program on Monday.
Over 100 students in the presence of other faculty members attended the event with great enthusiasm
Baishali Das Roy, a faculty from the Department of Commerce of the college was the resource person of the event. Addressing the students, Baishali Das Roy spoke on the various Government initiatives to encourage the youngsters to venture into the domain of entrepreneurship and build their careers.
In her words, the Department of Commerce and Industries, Government of Assam has initiated Synergy Symposium last year that involves innovation and collaboration with new startups in the state. Opening of Incubation Centres at various locations in the state to find investors, mentors and technical support is a wonderful initiative, she added. The Guwahati Biotech Incubation Centre has been providing technical support to the incubators, the speaker maintained.

“Assam Startup Incubation Program” an initiative by the Government of Assam is an innovative idea for fostering the spirit of entrepreneurship in the community and support the new entrepreneurs with infrastructure support and comprehensive investment opportunities.”
