AUS Political Science Dept goes for community engagement

way2barak, Jan 20: A community engagement programme under the aegis of the Department of Political Science, Assam University, was organized on Friday by Prof. Joyati Bhattacharya as a part of the Community Engagement Course.

All students of first semester post graduate classes and research scholars attended the programme.

Students were taken to Irongmara Durgatila Community Hall where they spoke to the women MGNREGA workers of the area. The students interacted with the female workers to understand their awareness and experience of employment under the MGNREGA.

Debotosh Chakraborty, a faculty of the Department, also was present.

Suman Paul, a research scholar of the Department, assisted Prof. Joyati Bhattacharya and provided logistical support for the programme.
