Assam University to initiate BBA and Executive MBA Programme

way2barak, May 31: Department of Business Adnministration, Assam University, Silchar has established itself as one of the most successful management institutions across east and north eastern part of India. Established in the year 1997, the Department has been contributing to the field of management through its excellent academic and research inputs. So far, it has been
offering only two-year full time MBA programme and also research programme leading to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). The 25h batch of students of MBA programme of
the Department is on the verge of completion of their degree who have already received multiple job offers from renown recruiters with the highest package offered of 10 lacs. Over
the years, the Department has consistently maintained its 100 percent placement record and the alumni of the Department are found to be placed at various national and multinational

Under the framework of National Education Policy 2020, the Department with more than 25 years of existence, is now all set to offer, for the very first time, the BBA and one-year Executive MBA programme from the current academic year. Students who have completed their 10+2 (Higher Secondary) from any discipline with minimum 60 percent marks or equivalent CGPA will be eligible to seek admission in the BBA Course while candidates intended to get admitted in the Executive MBA programme must have a bachelor degree in any discipline with at least 50 percent marks along with minimum two years of industrial experience. Candidates belonging to reserve category will get the relaxation as per GoI Guidelines. Successful Candidates need to pay 51,320/- per year and 49,500/- per semester for getting admited in
the BBA and Ex. MBA programme respectively. Keeping in mind, the professional preoccupation of the candidates willing to pursue Ex. MBA programme to excel their managerial expertise, the classes are set to take place in the evening time during 6 -9 PM and also in hybrid mode (Both online & Ofine).
