ওয়ে টু বরাক, ১৫ সেপ্টেম্বর : আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সংস্কৃত বিভাগ ও ভারতীয় জ্ঞান ব্যবস্থা কেন্দ্রের উদ্যোগে রবিবার রামকৃষ্ণনগরের আনিপুরে কমিউনিটি এনগেজমেন্ট কর্মসূচি আয়োজিত হয়। আনিপুরের সরস্বতী বিদ্যা নিকেতনে আয়োজিত এই অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ভারতীয় জ্ঞান ব্যবস্থা কেন্দ্রের ডিরেক্টর অধ্যাপক এম. গঙ্গাভূষণ, সংস্কৃত বিভাগের সহযোগী অধ্যাপক ড. গোবিন্দ শর্মা, সংস্কৃত ভারতীর দক্ষিণ আসামের সংগঠন মন্ত্রী অনির্বাণ শর্মা, সরস্বতী বিদ্যা ভবনের অধ্যক্ষ অর্জুন নাথ, কাছাড় কলেজের সহকারী ড. নয়না গোস্বামী, তুহিনা ভট্টাচার্য, শুক্লা দেবী প্রমুখ।

সরস্বতী বিদ্যা নিকেতনের শিক্ষার্থীদের সরস্বতী বন্দনার পর গবেষক সুপ্রিয়া চৌবের বৈদিক মঙ্গলাচরণ পাঠের মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠান শুরু হয়। অধ্যাপক এম. গঙ্গাভূষণ সমসাময়িক জীবনে সংস্কৃত শ্লোকের প্রাসঙ্গিকতা এবং ভগবদগীতার তাৎপর্য নিয়ে আলোচনা করেন। অধ্যক্ষ অর্জুন নাথ আনিপুরকে সংস্কৃত গ্রাম হিসেবে গড়ে তোলার প্রক্রিয়ার কথা উল্লেখ করে নিয়মিত ক্লাস, প্রশিক্ষণ ও সাপ্তাহিক সভার ভূমিকা ব্যাখ্যা করেন। ডঃ গোবিন্দ শর্মা বলেন, প্রথমে ব্যক্তিগতভাবে সংস্কৃত ভাষা শিখতে হবে, তারপর পরিবারে এবং ধীরে ধীরে সমগ্র জাতির কাছে পৌঁছে দিতে হবে। তিনি আদমশুমারির সময় সংস্কৃতকে প্রথম ভাষা হিসেবে নিবন্ধিত করার গুরুত্বের ওপরও জোর দেন।

অনির্বাণ শর্মা কথোপকথন সম্পর্কে বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করেন। সুমন কুমার নাথ সংস্কৃত গ্রাম তৈরির প্রেক্ষাপট নিয়ে আলোচনা করেন। অনুষ্ঠানে সরস্বতী বিদ্যা নিকেতনের শিক্ষার্থীরা সংস্কৃত ভাষায় সঙ্গীত, ধামাইল নাচ ইত্যাদি পরিবেশন করে সবাইকে মুগ্ধ করেন। শান্তি মন্ত্র পাঠের মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠানটি শেষ হয়।

অনুষ্ঠান শেষে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ও কাছাড় কলেজের শিক্ষার্থীরা গ্রামবাসীদের সঙ্গে মতবিনিময় করেন। তাদের দক্ষতা ও সংস্কৃতের দৈনন্দিন ব্যবহার সম্পর্কে অবহিত হন। প্রসঙ্গত, সংস্কৃত গ্রাম’ হিসেবে পরিচিত আনিপুরের বেশিরভাগ মানুষ সংস্কৃত ভাষায় শুধু দক্ষই নন, দৈনন্দিন যোগাযোগের মাধ্যম হিসেবেও এই ভাষা ব্যবহার করে থাকেন।

Way2barak, September 15 : Department of Sanskrit and the Centre for Indian Knowledge System of the Assam University conducted an extension activity and community engagement programme at Aanipur in Ramkrishna Nagar on Sunday. The event took place at Saraswati Vidya Niketan, Aanipur. The programme began with Saraswati Vandana by the students of Saraswati Vidya Niketan, followed by a Vedic Mangalacharan recitation by research scholar Supriya Chaubey.

Distinguished guests present on the occasion included Prof. M Gangabhushan, Director, Indian Knowledge System Centre, Dr. Govind Sharma, Associate Professor, Dept. of Sanskrit, Anirban Sharma, Sangathan Mantri, Sanskrit Bharati, South Assam, Arjun Nath, Principal, Saraswati Vidya Bhavan, Dr. Naina Goswami, Assistant Professor, Cachar College and Shukla Devi. Musical presentations by the students added a cultural flavour.

Prof. M. Gangabhushan delivered a lecture on the relevance of Sanskrit shlokas in contemporary life and the significance of the Bhagavad Gita. Highlighting the process of making Aanipur a Sanskrit-speaking village, Principal Arjun Nath explained the role of classes, training sessions, and weekly meetings. Dr. Govind Sharma emphasized that one must first learn Sanskrit individually, then extend it to the family, and gradually to the entire community, thereby building a ‘Sanskrit Village.’ He also underlined the importance of registering Sanskrit as the first language during the census.

Anirban Sharma shared details about conversation classes, while Suman Kumar Nath discussed the vision behind creating Sanskrit villages. The programme concluded with the recitation of the Shanti Mantra. Following the event, postgraduate students of Assam University and students of Cachar College interacted with villagers, gathering insights into their proficiency and daily use of Sanskrit.
