Assam University holds vibrant event on the heroic story of Operation Sindoor
অপারেশন সিন্দুরের বীরগাথা নিয়ে প্রাণবন্ত অনুষ্ঠান আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ৩০ জুলাই : গভীর দেশাত্মবোধে ভারতের সশস্ত্ৰ বাহিনীর বীরত্বের প্ৰতি শ্ৰদ্ধা জানাল আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়। গতকাল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বিপিনচন্দ্র পাল মিলনায়তনে ‘অপারেশন সিন্দুর ভারতীয় সেনাবাহিনীর কাহিনি’ শীৰ্ষক এক বিশেষ অনুষ্ঠান আয়োজিত হয়। সেইসঙ্গে উদযাপিত হয় কারগিল বিজয় দিবসও। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের যুদ্ধ জাদুঘর ও এনসিসি ইউনিটের উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত এই প্ৰাণবন্ত অনুষ্ঠান আয়োজনে সহযোগিতার হাত বাড়িয়ে দেয় মিজোরামের ভাইরেংটির কাউন্টার ইনসাৰ্জেন্সি অ্যান্ড জঙ্গল ওয়ারফেয়ার (সিআইজেডব্ল্যু) স্কুল।

অনুষ্ঠানে বক্তব্য রাখতে গিয়ে ভারপ্ৰাপ্ত উপাচাৰ্য অধ্যাপক অশোক সেন ভারতীয় সশস্ত্ৰ বাহিনীর সাম্প্ৰতিক সামরিক অভিযানের ওপর আলোকপাত করেন। অধ্যাপক সেন বলেন, আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় শিক্ষা ও জাতীয় সেবার মধ্যে সেতুবন্ধন তৈরি করতে প্ৰতিশ্ৰুতিবদ্ধ। সেইসঙ্গে বিকশিত ভারতের স্বপ্ন সাকার করতে শিক্ষার্থীদের উদ্বুদ্ধ করার কাজও চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়। তিনি মিজোরামের সিআইজেডব্ল্যু স্কুলের কমান্ড্যান্ট ব্ৰিগেডিয়ার রোহিত যাদবকে এই অনুষ্ঠান আয়োজনে সহায়তা করার জন্য ধন্যবাদ জানান।

ব্ৰিগেডিয়ার রোহিত যাদব বক্তব্য রাখতে গিয়ে ‘অপারেশন সিন্দুর’-এর বর্ণিল কাহিনি তুলে ধরেন। কীভাবে পাক অধিকৃত কাশ্মীরে নয়টি জঙ্গি শিবিরে নিৰ্ভুলভাবে হামলা চালিয়ে একশ’রও বেশি সন্ত্ৰাসবাদীকে খতম করা হয়েছে তাও বৰ্ণনা করেন। তিনি কৌশলগত যোগাযোগের গুরুত্ব ও ভারতীয় সেনাবাহিনীর সময়োপযোগী, নিয়মিত এবং তথ্যবহুল তথ্য আঞ্চলিক, জাতীয় ও আন্তৰ্জাতিক গণমাধ্যমে প্ৰচারের মাধ্যমে শত্ৰু দেশের সৃষ্ট মিথ্যা আখ্যান কীভাবে খণ্ডন করা হয়েছে তা নিয়েও বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করেন।

ব্ৰিগেডিয়ার যাদব বলেন, সামরিক অভিযান ‘সিন্দুর’ আত্মত্যাগ ও সন্ত্ৰাসবাদের প্ৰতি ভারতের শূন্য সহনশীলতার প্ৰতীক৷ তিনি জানান, ‘অপারেশন সিন্দুর’ জাতিকে ঐক্যবদ্ধ করার পাশাপাশি পাকিস্তানের ভূমিকা উন্মোচিত করতে এবং বিশ্বের দরবারে ভারতের সামরিক-কূটনৈতিক সংকল্প স্পষ্ট করতে সফল হয়েছে। অনুষ্ঠানে অন্যদের মধ্যে উপস্থিত ছিলেন নিবন্ধক ড. প্ৰদোষ কিরণ নাথ, সিডিসি ডিরেক্টর জয়ন্ত ভট্টাচাৰ্য, ফিনান্স অফিসার ড. শুভদীপ ধর সহ বিভিন্ন বিভাগের অধ্যাপক, শিক্ষাৰ্থী ও এনসিসি ক্যাডেটরা।

এনসিসি ক্যাডেট ইশার হৃদয়স্পৰ্শী বক্তৃতার মাধ্যমে কারগিলের বীরদের স্মরণ ও সশস্ত্ৰ বাহিনীর ঐতিহ্যকে সমুন্নত রাখার নতুন অঙ্গীকারের মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠানের সমাপ্তি হয়। পুরো অনুষ্ঠানটি সঞ্চালনা করেন ড. জয়শ্ৰী দে। প্ৰসঙ্গত, এ দিনের এই অনুষ্ঠানের সমন্বয়ে ছিলেন আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় যুদ্ধ জাদুঘরের চেয়ারম্যান ড. দীপজ্যোতি চৌধুরী ও কনভেনর অরিজিৎ গোস্বামী।

way2barak, July 30 : Assam University paid tribute to the valor of the Indian Armed Forces with deep patriotism. A special event titled ‘Operation Sindoor – The Story of the Indian Army’ was organized at the Bipin Chandra Pal Auditorium of the university on Tuesday. Kargil Vijay Diwas was also celebrated along with this event. Assam University War Museum and NCC Unit organized this vibrant event in collaboration with the Counter Insurgency and Jungle Warfare (CIZW) School, Virengti, Mizoram.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chancellor I/c Prof. Ashok Sen shed light on the military operations of the Indian Armed Forces. Prof. Sen said that Assam University is committed to bridge academia and national service, inspiring students to contribute to Viksit Bharat. He thanked Brigadier Rohit Yadav, Commandant of CIZB School, Mizoram for collaboration.

Brigadier Rohit Yadav narrated the colorful story of ‘Operation Sindoor’. He also narrated how over 100 terrorists were killed in a precision strike on nine terrorist camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Brigadier Yadav said that the military operation ‘Sindoor’ is a symbol of sacrifice and India’s zero tolerance towards terrorism. He also delved on the importance of strategic communication and how the false narratives created by the enemy country were dismantled by the Indian Army’s timely, regular and factual dissemination of information to the regional, national and international media.

Registrar Dr. Pradosh Kiran Nath, CDC Director Jayanta Bhattacharjee, Finance Officer Dr. Shubhdeep Dhar, along with professors from various departments, students and NCC cadets were attended in the event.

The event concluded with a renewed pledge to remember Kargil’s heroes and uphold the armed forces’ legacy with a stirring speech by NCC cadet Isha. The entire event was hosted by Dr. Jayashree Dey and coordinated by Dr. Deepjyoti Choudhury, Chairman, Assam University War Museum & Convener Arijit Goswami.
