Assam University directs all students to fill anti- ragging undertaking

way2barak, Dec.7: The Supreme Court of India in its order has completely banned Ragging in educational institutes. It is emphasized that ragging besides being a reprehensible act, is now a punishable offence. Hence to comply with the verdict of the Supreme court of India and to maintain a fair environment of teaching and learning inside the campus, the Assam University, Silchar has also imposed complete ban on ragging of any kind.

Issuing a notification to this effect on 7 December, 2022, Dr Himadri Sekhar Das, Proctor of Assam University, directed the students of Assam University, Silchar to fill their Anti Ragging Undertaking available online on the link:

Students were also instructed to add the phone number of Proctor (+91-7002836376) when filling up the online form. They were asked to visit the following websites to read and understand the Supreme Court & UGC regulations:
