Assam Univ to begin offline classes for certain schools & departments from 15 Nov

Oct. 29: In pursuance of the resolution of the Executive Council regarding phase wise re-opening of the Assam University campus, the offline classes of Under Graduate (UG), Integrated and PG courses of certain  Schools/ Department shall commence from 15 November, 2021. These Schools/ Departments are:

• Albert Einstein School of Physical Sciences
• Horgobind Khurana School of Life Sciences
• Jawaharlal Nehru School of Management Studies
• E.P. Odum School of Environmental Sciences
• Triguna Sen School of Technology
• Sushruta School of Medical and Paramedical Sciences
• Aryabhatta School of Earth Sciences
• Swami Vivekananda School of Library Sciences
• Department of Social Work
• Department of Visual Arts
• Department of Performing Arts

The classes of the above mentioned Schools/ Departments will be held in alternate days. lst Semester, 5th Semester & 9th Semester Classes will be held on Monday, Wednesday & Friday and 3rd Semester & 7th Semester classes will be held on Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday. Students attending offline classes will have to produce certificate of complete vaccination to respective HoDs for attending classes and may have to present the same at entry gate of the University whenever asked for.

All the students. employees and other stake holders were asked to abide by the COVID protocol as set by MoHFW from time to time. Hostels for students other than Research Scholars shall be opened from 1st January, 2022. There shall be no online classes from 10 November, 2021 for the Departments/ Semesters for which offline classes will start from mid November. No employees shall be allowed in the Campus without any dose of COVID vaccine unless otherwise advised by Medical expert. Online classes for all other courses shall continue as usual. A notification to this effect was issued by the Registrar of Assam University, Silchar on 26 October, 2021.
