Assam to set world record with 8,000 Jhumur dancers ahead of Advantage Assam 2.0

way2barak, February 15: Assam is poised to make history with a record-breaking cultural performance as 8,000 dancers will take part in a grand Jhumur dance display on February 24, ahead of the Advantage Assam 2.0 event.

The performance, which will take place at Sarusajai Stadium, is designed to showcase the vibrant heritage of Assam’s Tea Tribes, who have played a pivotal role in shaping the global tea industry for more than a century.

Bimal Borah, Assam’s Cultural Minister,  visited the venue to review the final preparations for the event. The prestigious gathering will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will serve as the Chief Guest, along with international dignitaries and key business leaders.

Their presence highlights Assam’s growing importance on the global stage, and the event aims to attract significant investment to the region’s future.

This landmark performance is set to place Assam’s cultural legacy in the global spotlight, offering a spectacular representation of the state’s traditions while positioning it as a key player in future business and cultural exchanges.
