Assam registers 8 more COVID-19 deaths, tally rises to 221

August 20: Another 8 persons died in Assam due to COVID-19. With this, the death tally of the state has now gone upto 221. This was confirmed in a tweet by State Health Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday night. Here is the details of the 8 deceased due to novel coronavirus in Assam:

• Shukla Dutta (60) of Karimganj
• Mira Begum (70) & Saifuddin Ahmed (48) of Kamrup Rural
• Muktar Hussain (49) of Barpeta
• Chakradhar Gogoi (48) & Chow Tharsa Nangpung (60) of Dibrugarh
• Dorsing Terang (45) of Karbi Anglong
• Dipak Kr Raha (46) of Dhubri
