Alternative English discontinued as MIL in HS from 2021-22 by AHSEC

July 4: Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has decided to withdraw Alternative English from the list of Modern Indian Languages (MIL) from the next academic session 2021-22. Issuing a notification in this regard on Sunday, Dr RC Chutia, Secretary of AHSEC further stated that, “Students for the session 2021-22 onwards shall have to take any of the MIL subjects as a core subject along with the English subject.” All the Heads of the Institutions under AHSEC were asked to communicate the same to the students of Higher Secondary.
