Assam registers 14 more deaths due to COVID-19 on Thursday, toll rises to 711
Oct. 1: On Thursday, another 14 persons have lost their lives due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll of the state has now reached 711. This was confirmed in a tweet by State health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. He wrote, “Very sad and anguished to inform that 14 more COVID positive patients have succumbed to the disease. My condolences to all the families. We stand by you in this hour of grief.” The 14 deceased were identified as:
- Ratan Bakaliwal (57), Kamal Thapa (53), Nikhil Dhar (77) & Puma Konwar (70) of Dibrugarh
- Muhibullah All (60) of Charaideo
- Bhanu Sharma (64) of Karbi Anglong
- Sangho Ghosh (78), Sat Prakash Tandon (80), Bikash Agarwal & Chandrabala Das (71) of Kamrup Metro
- Padum Ch Borah (53) & Anjan Saikia (48) of Jorhat
- Mangal Dev Prasad (62) of Golaghat
- Mukul Neog (48) of Sivasagar
