Draft Electoral Rolls to Hailakandi & Lala Municipal Boards put up for inspection

Oct.3: The draft electoral rolls have been prepared in accordance with the rules for Election of Commissioners to Hailakandi Municipal Board and Lala Municipal Board under Assam Municipal Act, 1956 (as amended) in 1995.

In two separate notices issued to this effect here on Saturday regarding publication of draft electoral rolls to the electors of Ward Nos.1 to 16 under Hailakandi Municipal Board and Ward Nos.1 to 10 under Lala Municipal Board, Magistrates In charge for Election of Commissioner to Hailakandi Municipal Board, Tridib Roy and to Lala Municipal Board, Jyotiirmoy Daimary stated that the draft electoral rolls are available for inspection at Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Executive Officer, Hailakandi Municipal Board, Magistrate In charge, Circle Office, Hailakandi, Executive Officer, Lala Municipal Board and Circle Officer, Lala.

The notice stated that if there be any inclusion of any name in the roll or any objection to particulars in the entry as to the qualifying date as on 1.1.2020, it should be lodged on or before October 14 in form No.2 and 3 under rules for election of Commissioners to Hailakandi Municipal Board and Lala Municipal Board under the Assam Municipal Act, 1956.
