Army chopper crashes in Arunachal Pradesh; the 2nd incident within a month
way2barak, Oct.21: A helicopter belonging to the Indian Army crashed in the Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh early on Friday morning. Besides the pilot, there was one more passenger in the chopper. The crash site is said to be around 25 km away from the Tuting headquarters. The site of the accident was not connected by road and a rescue team was sent, informed officials.
At the start of this month, a Cheetah helicopter crashed near the Tawang town of Arunachal Pradesh resulting in the death of an Indian Army Colonel whereas, another pilot sustained serious injury.
