Another 3 tests positive in Assam, total rises up to 89
May 15: Three more persons tested positive in Assam. On Friday, night sharing this information in his twitter handle, State Health Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma informed that 3 persons in Kamrup Metro district of Assam were infected with COVID-19. Out of the three, who were infected with coronavirus, one is from Sarusajai Quarantine camp, the second is an indoor patient at Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH) and the third one has migrated to West Bengal.
This takes the totally tally of Assam to 89. Out of these 89 total patients, 41 were already discharged, 2 of them died and another 2 migrated. That means, at present, there are 44 active cases in the state. Sharing this information, the minister tweeted, “Alert ~ 3 persons tested #COVID19 + in Kamrup Metro. One person is from Sarusajai Quarantine camp, 1 indoor patient of GMCH, & one has migrated to West Bengal.”
