Amidst lockdown, online learning initiative begins in Hailakandi
April 3: Amidst 21-day national lockdown, the educational institutions all throughout are shut. In the long run, this would have a negative impact on the students. The teachers will find it difficult to complete the course within the stipulated time. MHRD has urged upon to begin online teaching-learning procedure. Following the footsteps, Hailakandi district too has also geared up to begin online education. The education department of Hailakandi has taken the initiative to send recorded videos by teachers through WhatsApp.
WhatsApp groups were made with the parents where the teachers have started sharing their lessons. Those parents who does not have android mobile were asked to take help of their neighbours. Though this endeavour cannot be termed as a total successful one, yet to begin with, it is indeed a praiseworthy initiative.
This initiative is regularly monitored by Keerthi Jalli, Deputy Commissioner of Hailakandi, ADC (Education) Ronodip Kumar Dam, Inspector of Schools, Rajib Kumar Jha, DEEO Ikbal Hussain Barbhuiya and other BEEOs.
BEEO Hailakandi Rajesh Chakraborty informed that the CRCCs are inspiring the teachers to make WhatsApp group for this purpose. Many of the CRCC’s of Hailakandi town informed that the teachers have welcome this initiative and have devoted themselves in this task. The teachers also expressed the view that this is a laudable step and they are enjoying teaching online.
