Alarming! 6 more Covid +ve patients die at Silchar Medical College in last 24 hours
May 18: Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley. The last 24 hours witnessed demise of 06 more Covid-19 positive patients at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH. Their detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board as per the protocol. Out of the 06 deceased at SMCH during the last 24 hours, 04 are from Cachar district and 02 are from Hailakandi. The deceased were identified as:
- Sandhya Goud (51) from Paloirbasti in Cachar got admitted on 7 May. She breathed her last at 7.15 PM on 17 May, 2021.
- Ronobijoy Bin (65) from from Choto Dudhpatil in Cachar district was admitted at SMCH on 17 May. He, however, breathed his last at 1.45 AM on 18 May, 2021.
- Parimal Choudhury (62) from Rangirkhari, Silchar was admitted at SMCH on 15 May. He died at 6.40 AM on 18 May, 2021.
- Islam Uddin Laskar (74) from Hailakandi district got admitted at SMCH on 14 May. He finally expired at 11.05 AM on 18 May, 2021.
- Khounish Ranjan Bhattacharjee (76) from Tarapur, Silchar was admitted at SMCH on 13 May. He died at 9.20 AM on 18 May, 2021.
- Nur Khatun Choudhury (62) from Uttar Joushnabad in Hailakandi district got admitted at SMCH on 16 May. She breathed her last at 1.10 PM on 18 May, 2021
