The tweet was in the response to Anil Kapoor’s post which featured a short clip from ‘Ak vs Ak’. Now, Anil Kapoor and Netflix have issued an apology to the IAF on social media. “AK vs AK” is a Vikramaditya Motwane movie, starring Anurag Kashyap and Anil Kapoor, “as themselves”. Taking to his twitter handle, actor Anil Kapoor said, “It has come to my attention that the trailer of my new film “AK vs AK” has offended some people. As I am wearing the Indian Air Force Uniform while using unparliamentary language, I would like to sincerely offer my humble apologies for unintentionally hurting sentiments.” He explained how he plays a distraught actor in the film, wearing an IAF uniform while searching for his daughter.
At no point does the film represent the Indian Air Force or our Armed Forces. We have nothing but the highest respect for the brave people protecting our nation.

In another tweet, Netflix wrote, “Hon. @IAF_MCC, our intention would never be to disrespect the Armed Forces of India in any regard. AK Vs. AK is a film in which Anil Kapoor and his co-stars are playing themselves as actors. At no point does the film represent the Indian Air Force or our Armed Forces. We have nothing but the highest respect for the brave people protecting our nation.”
The film narrates the story of a brash film director (played by Kashyap), who kidnaps the daughter of a popular movie star (played by Kapoor) and shows the actor’s desperate search for his daughter (Sonam Kapoor) in real-time to present it as his next blockbuster.
