AHSEC Council to upload e-books for students of HS 2nd year in their website

May 18: In view of the surge in Covid cases in the state, Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has cancelled the HS 1st year examination and promoted all students to HS 2nd year who have filed up the examination form of HS 1st year. Further, the Council has also instructed to start online classes for those promoted to HS 2nd year with effect from 15 May, 2021.

It is in this connection, that Secretary, AHSEC in a notification issued on 17 May, 2021 stated, “As per Govt SOP, the educational institutions have remained closed and formal classes are suspended until further orders.” It was further stated that at this juncture, it will take time to distribute free textbooks to the students.

Hence, the AHSEC has decided to upload e-books of the subjects, books for which were to be distributed earlier to the students. The students can now download these e-books from the website of AHSEC www.ahsec.nic.in under the caption “e-books” on the home page of the site. AHSEC said, “The students can download these e-books free of cost and pursue their studies of HS 2nd year.”
