DC Karimganj appeals employees for contribution to CM’s Relief Fund to combat COVID-19

May 24: Deputy Commissioner, Khageswar Pegu has appealed to the officers and employees of his establishment to contribute generously to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to combat coronavirus pandemic in the state.

Appealing to the officers and employees of his office to donate either one day’s salary or any amount as per their wish, Deputy Commissioner, Pegu said the contribution will boost the state government’s efforts in dealing with the pandemic.The officers and staff have been requested to deposit the amount to the Nazir urgently.

It may be mentioned that a few days ago, Chief Minister Dr.Himanta Biswa Sarma had appealed to the public to contribute generously to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund or the Assam Arogya Nidhi account to support the government’s efforts in tackling the pandemic. All donations to the relief fund are exempted from income tax.
