After 9 days mobile internet service restored in Assam

December 20: Finally, after a gap of 9 days, mobile internet services were restored in Assam. At around 9 AM on 20 December, the service was restored. Following the passage of Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 in the Rajya Sabha, violent protest started in various parts of Assam. As a sequence, internet services was snapped in the state from 11 December, 2019.

The restoration of mobile internet services have brought in respite for the people of Assam in general and for those whose livelihood is dependent on internet in particular.
