After 2 years of pandemic, campus celebrations return to school; Daffodils celebrate Rabindra Jayanti
May 10: The 161st birth anniversary of Indian noble laureate Rabindranath Tagore was observed at Daffodils School, Malugram with gaiety. The programme was inaugurated by ‘lighting the lamp’ followed by a speech delivered by the Principal of the school Subrate Dey.
Numerous culture events were performed by the budding pupils of the school with a live portrait presentation of Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore. Group dance and songs were performed by Rachaite Deb, Binni Deb, Anurup Aditya, Sourodip Dey, Dishita Goswami, Aponupa Paul, Bratati Bhatta, Prachi Das, Swarupa Deb, Diya Dutta, Shaptasree Paul, Nabarupa Sinha, Apurba Deb, Shruti Girl, Suchete Das, Banhishikha Choudhury, Shruti Bhattacharjee. Sraddha Deb, Shreyashi Acharjee, Nikita Acharje Tilottama Halder, Ankita Sardar, Shreya Ghosh, Urmila Mondol and Rachoyotree Sen.
Solo song was performed by Dipayan Roy and Solo dance numbers were performed by Samadrita Das Gupta and Sraddha Deb. Other performances include recitation by Samantak Das Gupta and Somdatta Das and Live portrait by Moulina Bhattacharjee. The artists were accompanied in Tabla by Ankit Bhowal and Suprotik Paul. The entire programme was compered by Somdatta Das & Ankita Sardar. A large number of people gathered to attend the function, which symbolises a hope of ray after the pandemic.
