16 found +ve out of 44 tests at Kurkuri TE in Kalain; massive RAT test to begin there

May 7: Kurkuri Tea Estate in Kalain seems to have become Covid hot spot in Cachar district. On Friday, Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) of 44 persons from Kurkuri Tea Estate was done, out of which, 16 of them were detected as Covid-19 positive. The tests were done under Rapid Survelliance Programme. Health officials in Cachar seemed to be quite worried after so many persons were found to be positive at Kurkuri. On Saturday, massive Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) will be done at Kurkuri Tea Estate in Kalain.
