Assam registers 82.39% votes during the 3rd phase of Assembly polls

April 6: A voter turnout of 82.39 percent has been recorded in Assam during the 3rd phase of Assam Assembly Election, 2021 on Tuesday. This is as per Voter Turnout App of Election Commission of India (ECI) at 10.30 PM on 6 April. This is appropriate trend as data from some Polling Stations has not yet arrived.

Voting in Assam for the third and final phase of Assembly Elections, 2021 began at 7 AM on Tuesday. abiding COVID protocol. Voting will take place in 12 districts of the state. There are 337 candidates in the fray including 6 ministers contesting from 40 constituencies. Voting has begun in 11.401 polling stations in the 12 election districts. A total of 79,19,641 lakh voters would be exercising their franchise during the day. The polling for the first phase of the Assam Assembly election was held on March 27 while the second phase of the election was held on April 1, 2021. Out of the 337 candidates in this phase, 25 of them are women. The counting of votes will be held on May 2, 2021.
