Massive fire breaks out at Gauhati Medical College

Feb. 5: A massive fire broke out around 12.20 PM on Saturday at Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH).  The fire broke out in the Head of the department’s Radiology department room. It took around an hour to douse the fire. As per preliminary reports, the fire is suspected to be caused by defect in computer power line. The fire fighters along with GMCH’s security guards together brought the fire under control. An enquiry into the incident was ordered by the Superintendent of GMCH.
