Maruti Nexa Silchar organises “Road Safety Awareness Rally” on Republic Day

Jan. 27: On the occasion of thee 72nd Republic Day, Jain Udyog, NEXA Silchar Central in association with District Transport Office, Cachar organised “Road Safety Awareness Rally”. The endeavour received the active support of Barak Valley Ignis Club. The motto of the rally was “Road Safety Awareness.”

“Road Safety Awareness Rally” started from NEXA Silchar office at Rongpur and came to an end at Dholai Eco diversity park. A distance of approximately 30 kms was covered. A total of 26 Ignis Club members have joined in this event.

The Chief Guest of the occasion was District Transport Officer- Angshuman Biswas, Asstt. General Manager of SBI- Sushanta Dutta, Officer in-charge of Udharbond Police Station-  Ashit Sutradhar and Dr. Uttam Roy, Asstt Professor of G.C College Silchar. In their speeches, all of them highlighted the importance of road safety. They thanked Maruti Nexa, Silchar for organising such an awareness programme. The District Transport Officer urged upon the people to follow the traffic rules so that any mishap could be avoided.

Biplab Dey Manager of Maruti Nexa, Silchar expressed thanks to all valued customers for their wholehearted cooperation. He expressed the view that this is probably the first time that any car showroom in the valley has organised such an awareness rally on Republic Day.
