Assam Univ waives Centre Fees for ensuing odd sem exam of UG/PG & integrated courses

Jan. 16: In the backdrop of the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent nationwide lockdown, many faced immensed financial hardships. As such, the student community had urged upon Assam University authorities for reduction in examination fee. It is in this regard that the Controller of Examinations, Dr. S. Dutta Roy in a notification issued on 15 January, 2021 decided to waive the Centre Fee (an amount of Rs. 300) for the forthcoming Examination of PG/UG & Integrated courses.

The notification stated, “It is notified for information of all concerned that in view of requests received from students for rduction of examination fee, it has been decided to waive the Centre Fee (Rs.300) for the ensuing Odd Semester Examinations of PG/UG & Integrated courses of the university.” The notification further stated that the “Centre Fee already paid/ deposited will be adjusted/ refunded later.”
